If this device had the OnionOS/GarlicOS experience it would be the perfect device for me. Regardless of that it comes with me every day to work. It’s the best vertical form factor for longer play sessions IMO. Just wanted to show some love!

I got the grey running Amberelec and it’s very nice but I did upgrade to a retroid pocket 3+ but kinda separated the two with the RG being a 8/16 bit powerhouse and the RP3 being a PSP/NDS focus with some widescreen hacks (bsnes hd) on the side.

The RG351v would be used more if it had 5Ghz wifi, and my router can’t do both. Retroachievements are too nice.

Haven’t owned one myself, I did start with the original 351 myself. I sold it to a friend eventually and upgraded to an RG353 that I use daily at work.

I have not bought any retro handhelds aside from this. Pretty much use it whenever I get the chance. It is the only reason why I have not even bought a Steamdeck yet!

I loaded alot of PSX titles on this one. Mainly play JRPGS but oftentimes I end up playing games such as Command and Conquer and Warcraft 2 over and over again 😅

“Still”

How retro. Mine went into an attic shoebox already. /s

RP2+ and RP3+ here, along with a strong interest in the RG405M. Love a solid 4:3 device.

Love my rg405m, it just feels so good in the hand. The shoulder buttons suck, but they have to be that way to keep the device slim.

I use mine all the time and it is great with ArkOS (AmberElec looks good too but never tried it). The chipset shows it ages a bit with N64 and up but for PSX and older it’s great.
