This feels like some of the best PC requirements we’ve seen lately.

This game still hasn’t come out? I thought I saw a polished gameplay trailer over a year ago

This is for the PC version. The PS5 version came out 2 years ago.

Please please have option to utilize direct storage.

Interesting that, although it’s recommended, an SSD is not required.

Yeah I am really curious how that’s going to affect things on PC because they had all this talk about how going through the portals and having those instant level transitions were only possible with efficient SSD storage mechanisms. Maybe they found a way around it by just caching to memory more? Or maybe they’re taking advantage of DirectStorage.

It was always just marketing speak by Sony to hype up their console and game. There’s legitimately no technical reason why the rift stuff can’t be done on a standard hdd. Anyone that bought into their marketing BS is a sucker.

While I agree with you that there’s a lot of marketing speak, saying that it can be done on a HDD is pushing it IMHO. Even without Direct Storage, the impact of SSDs vs HDDs already makes a huge difference in loading times for modern PC games.

I am SO HYPED for this release! been waiting for it to get a PC port ever since it first came out.

It’s the only game I would’ve been interested in with a ps5. Not gonna buy a whole console for a single game!

5900x and 3090 here. I’ll play in 1080 upscaled to 4k 60 if it manages with DLSS 2.
