Do they keep the male chicks? This is pretty rare, the vast majority of “local” egg farmers either macerate baby males alive or sell them to someone else to raise for a few months before slaughtering.

We went Vegan after the Chilliwack flooding that drowned thousands of acres of livestock and poultry farms. At first I thought it would be difficult, but the amount of amazing recipes and fully vegan reataurants in the Vancouver area has made it so we don’t even think about egg, milk, cheese etc
