Shift handover with mum is at 2am, and it looks like the bab is going to take it to the wire tonight.

There isn’t, as far as I can tell, anything actually wrong. The mite just doesn’t want to sleep…

Bro, I’m sorry. My kid was the worst sleeper in the world. Still at 3.5 yrs he gets up once a night almost every night.

I’m well past this and still have flash backs and snap awake if a baby cries

It has taken me well over a year to convince my wife to move my 3.5 year old into our room overnight and let me sleep in the other room with our 6 year old (both of whom are waking up every night a couple of times and waking each other up).

She’s finally listened and now everyone is finally getting some sleep.

Aye. She’s a bit old for swaddling now (almost 8 months), and she doesn’t seem that bothered by white noise or the like.

In fact she resettles for me super quickly; asleep within a few seconds of me going to her. She just doesn’t stay asleep very long…

Sounds like some sleep training is in order. She’s gotta learn that she’s on her own at night. Hard, I know, but necessary.
