The solar maximum is supposed to be sometime next year or 2026. I’m so excited for these storms to get worse. Friday’s storm taught me that I can locally catch a vivid off-peak aurora at that severity using 0.3% of the exposure time previous ones required. Anything worse and I can really plan out the perfect photo of one over the Rockies, maybe with the full milky way in the same shot.
