Reddit used to work like this but nuked it many years ago. I like it because it gives much more information about the consensus at a glance.

Jerboa does this anyway.

Sorry, genuinely didn’t realise telling you this would be so unhelpful to you, but now I realise that maybe you might prefer to just look in the settings on the app, if you don’t want to open up a discussion.

It means that the data is available from the apis, i.e yes, it is possible (and a relevant response).

That’s not what OP asked. It seems obvious to me that it’s possible.

And… I assumed some other people were still experimenting with apps for lemmy and might like to know that this feature is available in at least one of them, to help them decide. I don’t quite understand why my honest attempt to provide useful information upset so many people.

There currently isn’t a way to see upvotes and downvotes separately in Sync, but it’s listed as an enhancement request on GitHub.

I think the option might be cool, but I really don’t give a shit about up or downvotes either way.

Especially for comments. I’d rather know 8 people thought my comment added value, and 3 didn’t. Rather than just see 5 upvotes and not know.

I really miss this from Jerboa and I’m really hopeful we’ll see it here eventually.

I’d actually prefer the option to disable seeing vote counts on comments entirely.
