It’s not the first time it happens. Everyone has reporters writing and updating old celebrities’ obituaries on their down time because then they can publish a more complete and higher quality article when the inevitable happens. The problem is when someone fires the pre-written obituary because of some rumour or bad source and then everyone else does the same because no one wants to be the last one to report the news.
