This is the best summary I could come up with:

A 53-year-old man is dead after the plane he was piloting crashed into a field north of Duck Mountain Provincial Park, Manitoba RCMP say.

Officers were called Thursday at about 9:30 p.m. to the crash site north of Minitonas, about 35 kilometres northeast of Swan River, according to a news release on Friday afternoon.

RCMP and emergency services found a small single-engine airplane in a field east of Provincial Road 268, also called Lenswood Highway.

The 53-year-old found inside, who was the lone occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene, RCMP said.

In a release sent Friday evening, the federal Transportation Safety Board said it will be sending a team of investigators to Swan River to look into the cause of the crash, which it said involved a Stinson 108-3 aircraft.
