Not that facebook doesn’t suck and we definitely shouldn’t federate with Threads. But here’s another article on this. i agree with this. would also block country/foreign language instances I’m unable to engage with. For now I’ve blocked individual communities and NSFW. The NSFW block works for me but blocking communities instead of an instance is inefficient.
