That there is no perfect defense. There is no protection. Being alive means being exposed; it’s the nature of life to be hazardous—it’s the stuff of living.
Is the proposed 60% tariff on China still relevant? I get the impression this was an election pitch and the current proposal from the incoming administration is a 10% on Chinese imports to the US.
The $2.5 K proposed price for the 5090 is based on a 40% tariff. Why not 60%? The baseline price still seems to be ~$1,800 which aligns with earlier leaks.
This is a borderline comedic article. Considering the cost of all the hardware involved (TB5 docks/cables and a laptop with 4090 mobile are not cheap) the overall experience is hilariously bad.
No high watt charging, problems with getting multiple 4K monitors working, super low external SSD speeds between 169 and 250 mb/s (dual HDDs setups can come close to such performance).
Seems like this will be the first non-valve SteamOS handheld.
For context, the RTX 4080 and 4070 Ti had a noticeable spec gap, pushing Nvidia to price them almost $400 apart.
Assuming a similar gap, the 5070 Ti would be around $700 (the 5080 is rumoured to be in the $1,100 range), this is actually less than the price of the 4070 Ti which goes for around $800.
I am really curious how much the 5060 (non-Ti) will cost.
First time I heard about Hola. Read an article about them. They claimed that:
Hola CEO, Avi Cohen, said: “Hola offers a valuable free service to its users, and our community agrees, consistently rating it higher than any other VPN service. The health of the Internet and the safety of its users are top priorities for Hola.”
Avi Cohen is liar and scoundrel.
Big Mama is made up of two parts: There’s the free VPN app, which is available on the Google Play store for Android devices and has been downloaded more than 1 million times. Then there’s the Big Mama Proxy Network, which allows people (among other options) to buy shared access to “real” 4G and home Wi-Fi IP addresses for as little as 40 cents for 24 hours.
I am surprised this is legal. I have zero knowledge of the nuances of law, but there is no situation where allowing a completely random 3rd party to use your IP/network on an on-demand basis is legitimate. This is not a “grey area” (in the real sense, not in the judicial sense).
