Maturing in order to be a better person and partner? It takes so long, it’s annoying because you have to face your own shortcomings, it’s arduous because it doesn’t come naturally to you, it’s hurtful because you have to accept you have been fucking up for ages and God knows who else has suffered because of this trait… but it’s worth it, because your better half requires it.

One Irish Pub (popular chain here in France/Europe) in Avignon cause I puked all over the counter. Although I assume they’ve forgotten cause it was about 10 years ago… but I also haven’t drank in about 5 years so it’s not like I care, lol.

After they created confessions (meaning somehow the priest can ‘cleanse’ you of your sins, God won’t take you touching your niece into consideration for your judgment because you told some old dude about it and you recited 5 prayers to virgin Mary, lol) and purgatory (it used to be a binary destination, either Heaven and Hell, but the Church needed money lenders and usury to get coin for wars and whatnot and made it up to legitimise what had been seen as inmoral for ages) Christian dogma was fully cooked.

The problem starts with Paul (well, actually, with Rome and the creation of a new religion, and then the Council of Nicea. People in the West would’ve been some kind of Jewish if not, like Jesus was) and his idea of “faith without works” and “belief that God exists and Jesus submitted to Him is enough to be saved!”, which was vehemently opposed by Jesus’ actual followers that understood that faith without works is dead at best, hypocritical if not, and that even “demons believe in God, and they shudder” (sure, God exists and is always watching, but do you act like it?!). But Rome preferred/established this as canon and you can see the repercussions everywhere today, particularly in the Godless, amoral West. How could they act right, when their ideological base is so flimsy and tolerant of sin?

What a wonderful and hopeful take, all things considered, lol. Thanks for your reply. 🙏

You can’t just depend on the villain du jour and bloodthirst for unity though. I mean, I guess you can as recent history shows, but you also cannot believe yourself and your country to be anything but a rabid dog and a danger to everyone else…

Maybe I give up too easily. Let’s hope God heard ya and has some plans for the few (?, am I just too negative?) Americans that can still be saved/lay the foundations for a new society. I kinda feel they’ll need Him, lol.

Who’s holding anyone back, especially in something so morally neutral as this? Why do you think the unreasonable take is the common one? And if it were, who would you ask for it to be ‘normalized’? Shouldn’t we do what we think is right and avoid what we think is wrong regardless of whether it’s popular or not? Are people just afraid of calling out idiocy? You can do it kindly. Or are they afraid of confrontation with the stupids? And it’s always something shockingly silly like ‘normalize kissing your kids goodnight’ or ‘normalize talking about trauma with your parents who traumatized you’ like who the f told you not to and why would you ever take that person seriously?!

This is not something I particularly care about but this is where I come to e-shout my old man rants, thanks for reading! 🙏

Christians and Jews who don’t believe in one God, who’s good and gave us all of this for free and commands morality? You do understand words and labels are cheap, right? I look like a Colombian drug dealer, could I just call myself a Norwegian woman (I’m a dude) and that makes me so? Evidently I’m not, and evidently they’re not either, because the basics of both religious groups are a belief in God who commands us to be righteous, from the story of Adam, Cain and Abel, to Moses, to the teachings of Jesus and Muhammad. I have heard that Talmudic teachings (so, not the Tanakh, or the Pentateuch for us goyim) can be pretty racist, and so can be American Christian teachings with supply side Jesus and the condemnation of empathy (lol), but anyone with two working braincells and the tiniest amount of moral conscience will act right and leave the lies alone.

They can say whatever they want, but they don’t act like they believe that God is watching and will judge them for their actions, so the question that remains is only: are they that stupid they don’t realize they’re going against the basics of what should be their ideologies or are you the stupid one for believing they’re A because they constantly say so but they only act like B? Should I believe that Donny has the American populace in mind and wants nothing but the best for them cause he says so or should I use my eyes and grey matter?
