I joined lemmy to tell someone to stick something in their butt, so I think you are being somewhat optimistic.
Idk, I think it’s interesting to see the general public ‘grading’ opinions and information.
It definitely plays a huge role in the echo-chamber effect, but it’s not like lemmy is diverting from that utility.
