This sounds right, I feel like I get a lot of conflicting data on China, I just looked at Climate action tracker and they’re expected to peak this year, which is technically 5 years ahead of their schedule.

I’m really hoping we see China peak within the next couple years on fossil, cause that’s going to be one of the big turning points.

Honestly, not surprised. I wish we were meeting those goals, and its bad that we aren’t, but the progress that’s been made since they were set is noticeable, if not enough.

I don’t agree with their perspective on this, and I think we should in general be trying to consolidate communities right now, but if the mods told you to stop, you should have laid off it for a while at least.

AFAIK, it only applies to a relatively small section of Manhattan, in which traffic makes driving fairly difficult anyway, and most less well off people take public transit. I have heard people from new jersey who have to drive in complaining about it though. It does may be somewhat regressive.

What it is certainly not is whatever people on the right are trying to call it. I might be wrong about any of this though, I’m not a new yorker.
