Why would he use the military, they would have to purge like 40 percent of their ranks, which would destabilize it.

Instead he can just make his cop supporters federal deputies and dramatically increase their budget.

I think it’s more likely blue states secede than civil war. If enough liberal folks got on board, the conservatives would bit at the chance to be the new USA with a majority of the states.

I also think the impetus won’t be social, it will be economic.

This is literally the only silver lining. He isn’t a true believer, so his narcissism could save us from some of the worst of these nutjobs ideas.

At the end of the day, Trump wants to think everyone loves him.

Our local schools have been dealing with “Your body my choice” harrassment already.

It will be a slow death by thousand cuts situation. That way even after bad shit has happened his supporters can say “he hasn’t done x and x yet, so clearly you have been exaggerating”

All this stuff is going to take years. It will be death by a thousand cuts. The people who are planning this aren’t going to risk moving too fast where constituents of blue states beg for secession.

The entire cough/cold aisle is a gigantic scam of combo meds.

I have been railing about how this shit doesn’t work for what feels like forever.

The entire cold/cough aisle is essentially a scam. Pick up some generic diphenhydramine, APAP, ibuP, and some Pseduophedrine. It will cheap as dirt and do all the things that overpriced shit will do. Anything else that actually helps with a cold/cough is prescription only.

We all know what kind of threat Trump represents.

No we all most certainly don’t. I can’t tell you the number of conversations I have had with people on both sides of the political spectrum haven’t heard of project 2025 or many of his policy proposals. The ones who have heard about them mostly don’t seem to believe then.

The most common response to “watch out we’re marching towards fascism” is always some variant of “This is America. It can’t happen here”
