I think this perspective (that teens have nothing else in their lives other than social media) is harmful. I don’t understand why they’re not able to do the same things teens did before social media…
Police being called on harmless teenagers by the same busybodies over and over again kind of sorts itself out after awhile.
In addition to location, the data collected moreso resemble demographics than specifics. And on some of the most mundane shit at first glance, but actually gives a very clear picture of the consumer. Things like 1. OS installed 2. version of OS installed 3. Battery percentage 4. Total device memory 5. Remaining total memory and more things like that.
I liken it to how a psychic fools people into thinking they are magical when really they are incredibly perceptive and experienced in making judgements based on client’s clothes, appearance, demeanor, etc before they even open their mouths.
Christmas movies are loved bc of how comforting they are, the message 99% of the time is “i didn’t believe and now i do”. Honestly though it’s still unbelievable to me he ends up with a romantic love interest bc he’s basically a huge 5 year old, which was the joke the whole time. And it’s one of my fav xmas movies.
The lights and giving gifts. My own christmas tree and lights up on people houses or businesses. It almost makes the early nights of winter worth it. Giving gifts is an art form for me. I alternate between hand making, scouring stores, and gift cards so I can invest as much time as I want each year.
