The Huawei phone ban was just collateral damage from the Huawei telecom equipment ban. They didn’t care if you used a Huawei phone, they ran Android and came with the associated NSA backdoors regardless, but they could not tolerate countries choosing Huawei cellular equipment since they wouldn’t be able to use their backdoors they have with nokia or cisco or whatever.

The flaw of communism is that purges are hard and you want to go to bed but if you don’t purge these capitalist roaders they’ll restore bourgeois control over the state and instead of implementing a system where the ceaseless accumulation of wealth is discouraged you just let the sociopathic parasites win. But hey at the end of it all you could say it was because people were just too greedy and not because every institution and law under capitalism is designed to reward greed.

I don’t think they targeted Hezbollah specifically, it’s just that pagers are niche enough that they could rely on probability to get some Hezbollah members. Turns out plenty of civilians like doctors and emergency workers use pagers too, so to the IOF it does double duty as terrorism.

I can only speculate but probably intercepted during shipping, or if the whole Hungarian shell company thing is true maybe planted there.

Given that they have the supply chain compromised, they could do just about anything, including just putting a microcontroller in the pager circuit that sends a current to the explosive when it receives a specific signal. I don’t know if setting plastic explosive on fire will set it off, but it could be a different formulation than the regular RDX based stuff.

Some antiviruses don’t like the SSL cert they use, try a different domain like archive.is or see if anything is being intercepted by your antivirus (sometimes they have a functionality that inserts their own MITM certs that you can disable).

All the photos I’ve seen are too blurry to tell, but maybe its just a standard mount to the side of the receiver? The dust cover is too loose to hold a zero so no one mounts scopes directly to that (there do exist rail systems that secure the dust cover more consistently, but I still don’t trust them), and while I’ve seen rail attachments for the rear sight mounting location, its a lot more rare.

This was also evident when they had that TOW test which should have been a simple point and shoot but the missiles were either so old or faulty they just fell into the ocean right after launching.
