I’ve been “permabanned” for the fourth time in four months. Pissed off a couple of the power mods, and they’ve been abusing the report button to get me kicked. Always manage to get it reversed once I get through to somebody via the appeals process, but I’m just not feeling it this time.

Got one living with me who falls into this category. She about lost her mind when I showed her a laser disc; thought it was some kind of special record. Yes, that’s the world we live in, now: kids collect records and cassettes, but have never seen a blu-ray.

I mean, my memory of the show is pretty fuzzy at this range, but, yeah, I don’t remember any Romero film going that far. Not that I’m complaining, mind you; I get to experience it like it’s new, apparently.

Getting federation working as advertised is a pain in the ass. I ran a solo instance back when Mastodon was new, and there was no end to the nonsense it generated. That’s why I’m now subscribed to the instance @ernest is running. :)
