@writingprompts Okay, so I did a semi-deep dive into this, and it seems like this is not a Chick Tract (different art style anyway), but from something called the “Truth for Youth Bible”, however not the current one (which can be found here: https://revivalfires.org/ and is - compared to this - incredibly boring) but likely the third edition with entirely different illustrations. I am still trying to find a good scan of the whole thing. So far no luck, though.

@drbollocks Here’s something that sometimes helps me: Ask yourself, if someone else was in your situation, what would you tell them.

Because honestly, from what you’re writing, you don’t have much of a relationship to lose, and you seem to be clinging onto something that isn’t there, if it ever was.

It’s okay to break up with people for any reason or no reason at all, if only for your own peace of mind. Don’t stay with someone out of fear.

I think it’s not necessarily about what the both of you do, as it is about how you both feel about your relationship and each other. If you’re both cool with doing your own thing and occasionally getting together, then you’re fine. (Don’t get sidetracked because “other couples are doing everything together”, that’s bullshit.)

However, if you do want more, or different than this, you really should talk to her about how you’re feeling.
