Starting in 2007, it declared, all passenger vehicles sold in Canada would require an engine immobilizer, a basic anti-theft device that uses an electronic signature in the key to unlock the engine. I saw this happening in real life one time, on the back of a Dodge Neon. Best part is they were in the parking lot of a Planned Parenthood. We cheered them on, then went about our business.
