Can’t get a general strike to work when the majority of utility workers are magats. The algos target the blue collar industry for this very reason. Look at what the conservative / fascist media arms of your own country are targeting very specifically. Its core services for corporate enablement.
Transportation, construction, farming, police force all fine if we try a general strike tomorrow. Most upper middle class also are magats. So bank services, middle management, accounting and financial CIO / CEO teams all also are not participating.
General strike happens tomorrow and protesters in the streets will be arrested - people who are Dems or anti fascist will lose their jobs and houses.
We are in a no win game.

So it was me that caused it.
My wife doesn’t love multi day backpacking. But she loves the glimpse of how I am and how we are - during that time.
Our priorities - Stay warm, stay dry, fetch and purify water, hike the right distances to get out with food in hand, packing and unpacking our gear, avoid dangerous wildlife, cook, sleep.
When every day that’s your goal state it’s super simple - stress is actually just a response to things that might kill you again. And not 20 steps away from it. “I might perform poorly, my clothes might not be appropriate for the job, I’m running 3 minutes behind - which may cost me my job, which could be long term, and financially we won’t recover, and then we might lose the house or starve”. Up against “I need water and dry clothes”.
Obviously the man is better than the bear - all he wants from the woman in the woods is for her to live a life of servitude to him as his psuedo mommy, wife, child producer and lover, because he has epic Viking battles he has to deal with…. of taking the trash to the curb, and waiting in traffic to get to work, because therapy is too expensive, or feminine?

Most of us just don’t know what we can actually do and are being gaslit by everyone around us that it’s not as bad as the media is making it sound.
So if you do something you are being irrational and the things you can do without being thrown in jail have no results currently (and are being done to no avail). If you don’t do something you know it’s going to get worse. And then the worse thing you know that’s coming requires really serious counter measures.
Which if you act on timely you will be seen as over reactionary - and the problem. And then everything worse that comes after that will be seen as an appropriate response to the “radical violent and lunatic left”
Most of us in my lefty group are just starting to stockpile food and water. Either it’s full market crash or worse. So. Have the essentials on hand and a method to protect them. Fingers crossed it won’t get to that. But. It probably will.
