I believe in activism for important causes, but even I think it would be best to stay right where you are because your departure would, imo, have little impact. If I were there, I suspect Iโd stay quiet and try to focus on what I must do to bring about my next upgrade at McDs, somewhere else, or something I made on my own. I imagine at McDs itโs possible to get in a โzoneโ where you and the tasks become one or something like that. I worked at Wendyโs, but never achieved the โzoneโ because I wasnโt there long enough to see how the operationโs various pieces came together to make the whole thing work. Best to you.
Lemmy is not supported by any oligarch (afaik). Secondly, you can browse posts from other Lemmy instances! Soโฆ people from Red-it: You came around before to have a look; donโt you think itโs time you settled in? A lot has improved since you visited the Fediverse; if you subscribe to feeds from other instances, when you click on โSubscribedโ or โAllโ at the top, you just might see a similar amount of content that you saw on Rddt.
What Iโm really hoping is that this instance really turns into an eye-opener for music and theory that Iโm not familiar with. After all, there are so many genius-like musicians around the world, in history, etc. Wouldnโt you like to learn about them?
This is the basis for every sovereign citizen (aka โsovcitsโ); isnโt it? Doesnโt sovereign citizenry really only make sense if a sovcit goes โall the wayโ? I ask this because sovcits seem to partake in societyโs services provided by the collective (like roads, traffic signals, police, firefighters, etc.) while complaining about state overreach when (1) they have to pay something like property tax or (2) when they have to deal with LE. Iโm not saying youโre wrong to have a sovcit mentality, but doesnโt a sovcit have to stop using societyโs services and put up a real defense when LE gets involved? Iโm not recommending you do either; Iโm just saying while the system is flawed, at least, Western โdemocraciesโ have one. The alternative seems to be (1) leaving the country or (2) fighting anybody who threatens your sovereignty.
Tuta Mail is free for personal use, though you must accept a few limitations. The free edition lets you send and receive all the secure messages you want, and it includes a secure calendar. Searching encrypted email is limitedโwith the free edition, you can only search messages up to a month old. Paying 36 euros per year for a Revolutionary subscription ($38.65 as of this writing) removes that search limitation, lets you have multiple calendars, and adds features including filtering rules and 15 alias email addresses (more about those later). It also raises the storage for your messages from 1GB to 20GB.
Dolphins and rainbows? What kind of LSD has OP been taking? Yeah, America is a hypocrite, and its politicians are liars who selectively apply โjusticeโ. American exceptionalism DOES indeed seem like a joke, and it is arguably far from the best Western or โdemocraticโ country, but what country would OP say is the model we should all follow? OP, you obviously hate the USA. What country is the best in your opinion? I hate shit countries, but I sure as fuck would rather eat this shit over the shit I see in some countries.
