I feel you on this. Might consider switching to iPhone once they switch to USB C for charging.

Every single pixel I’ve owned came with a problem or two especially when it comes to hardware.

Samsung on the other hand, has great hardware but once 2 years is up and software support ends, it feels outdated in software

I find myself reading my Kindle more. Although I do miss out on finding out news that’s currently happening, e.g I didn’t realize Twitter rebranded to X and I don’t really go on Twitter as much was something pretty surprising.

I also found Lemmy to be much slower in terms of posts and engagement so it’s hard to find meaningful discussions or funny comments that I usually like to find on posts about what’s currently new.

I’ve never posted on Reddit at all and was a lurker for almost 10 years so I feel like writing and commenting on Lemmy to contribute. Although a part of me refuses to bring back the golden years of Reddit in Lemmy. Maybe the death of Reddit third party apps was just what I needed to enjoy the current moment and try other new hobbies.

Aw man I just started using Brave on my Android phone and really enjoy using it’s AdBlock features and forced dark mode on pages that don’t support it yet.

I tried Firefox and they didn’t have an option to force dark mode on webpages without me having to turn this in in developer mode which breaks other apps I use.

Wow I just posted a comment that was for another thread by accident! My apologies.

I’ve adopted something called Kaizen and the 5S for manufacturing which is pretty much a philosophy of making things more convenient to reduce waste, time and energy doing something and making sure items are placed in the most efficient place possible.

I used to be pretty organized and it has been great following something like this.

I’m addicted to a site called RedFlagDeals, which is the equivalent of Slick deals for the states. I find myself endlessly scrolling for deals on the forum and buying things I probably don’t even need, but I do it anyway since the item is relatively cheap. For example a car charger that was like 10 bucks… and I don’t even have a car.

I think it’s out of boredom as well, and it’s gone to the point where I could even tell you a specific product is a good deal or not just by looking at the current price of it as I probably subconsciously index all of the prices in my head some how from scrolling through it.

I need a new hobby.
