@Blort@social.tchncs.de thank you! I’ve blocked time in my calendar to watch the keynote address from the conference (they’re livestreaming on YouTube) this Friday morning. It’s about Matrix 2.0: https://cfp.matrix.org/matrixconf2024/talk/WUGXFW/

@peterg75@mastodon.social oooh I’m so happy to hear you are enjoying Phanpy. It truly is the best ✨ I use Tusky on Android and Mona Pro on iOS with Friendica and really really love the UX

@jerry thank you again Jerry!

Communication between Friendica and Mbin (mentions) doesn’t work at all. And I’m finding some strange bugs when it comes to federation of Mbin comments that mention Lemmy.world accounts (some show up, others don’t).

But the communication between Mbin and Mastodon is EXCELLENT βœ¨πŸ†βœ¨

Thank you for all your work on Fedia.io!

@wtrmt@mastodon.social the whole point of Matrix is to be a free, open source, federated way of communicating, so you can use it on desktop (Mac, Windows, Linux), mobile and even from a browser: https://element.io/download

@juancnuno@mastodon.social ok so from what I’m seeing, Matrix has incredible integrations (bridges) with Slack, Discord, Whatsapp, Telegram, Signal, etc… so you may be able to communicate with your friends using these bridges https://matrix.org/ecosystem/bridges/ (disclaimer: it’s my day 2 on Matrix and I’m not sure yet how to make a bridge work)

Follow-up:

I posted a poll on Threads about #alttext (which likely nobody will see) and I replied to my own message with a photo with an alt text description.

Once the photo is published I cannot read the alt text I had written. Am I doing something wrong? The post is here: https://www.threads.net/@elenarossini/post/DAS8jb-Ntl-?xmt=AQGzU6RVWnVjBvoDGP6ft8CGHZwncy-1-vRAQxtB7ldFRA

And sorry for linking to a Meta website, but for the record I only use Threads to post messages about the #Fediverse πŸ€—

@kenkenken I totally agree with you, the term β€œThreadiverse” makes me cringe because of the Meta connection… but it’s what people have been calling content aggregation projects on the Fediverse. I didn’t come up with it πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Really liking #Mbin so far and happy about its interoperability

@solrize I have accounts on Lemmy, PieFed and Mbin. Wrote about them this summer https://blog.elenarossini.com/the-future-of-social-is-here-a-show-and-tell-part-4-lemmy-piefed-mbin/ πŸ€— these days I’m mostly using #Lemmy and I really really enjoy it
