Not in a solid form. There may be some undesirable effects though at greater numbers, we don’t really have good data. Here’s a blog post by the European Space Agency talking about a couple studies on the effects of satellite reentry. Note that the satellites they simulated were significantly larger than the Starlink satellites.

Previous collisions have resulted in debris that intersected with higher orbits. While those debris themselves will decay, if they collide with something in a higher orbit, a significant portion of the resulting debris will be there for a very long time.

Look at the apogees resulting from a major collision in 2009 in fig 3 on page 2

They will be in fear if Ukraine rules over them too, there was no shortage of war-crimes being committed against the civilians before the 2022 invasion.

But in either scenario, they will be in less fear than if they’re literally being shelled.

Are you suggesting that if Ukraine let go of the Russian-speaking parts of Ukraine that Russia occupies, people living in those areas would flee, or that people would flee Ukraine proper in the event of peace?

Neither scenario makes sense to me, why would you expect more people would leave if the bombs stopped?

Why wouldn’t you just take the squirrels where they want to go?

You can find similar atrocities in every single country in South America. Also Afghanistan and much of Africa.

I like having an enemy that actually denies an area until you have higher-level weapons or are willing to be creative. Every other enemy is trivial to avoid and mostly kill.

Somehow this is so much worse for me.

There’s 3 parties that can unilaterally end the war here, Putin, by just going home and abandoning Crimea and the occupied parts of Ukraine, Zelensky, by accepting peace and giving up the Russian-speaking parts of Ukraine, and America, by not trying to fight Russia to the last drop of Ukrainian blood.

But there’s other actions that are helping, such as Hungary and Georgia by taking Russian draft dodgers and the rest of the EU by taking Ukrainian draft dodgers.
