Rust turns a lot of safety things ‘on’ by default.
Turning all of that off for a tiny program that doesn’t need it such as hello world results in a comparable size.

Lemmy.ml is not the tankie instance. Lemmygrad is.
Lemmy.ml is simply run by a tankie, however that so far has not impacted the instance much.
As lemmy is currently growing faster than kbin, we would only be hurting ourselves on the ‘official’ instance. Instead better instance blocking on a per user basis just needs to be implemented.
AtlasOS in a windows spin that’s just straight up insecure and borderline broken given how many tweaks it makes and it disabling updating

Florp, to me, is not a serious project and best avoided unless you like playing with random hobby toys. Not sure why people are so up in arms over what some random tiny hobby thing does
