The Dark Crystal is a good scary movie for kids. The movie that got me scared as a kid was a Ernest Scared Stupid. I can’t explain why, that movie scared the shit out of me. After that it was watching The Relic.

I dunno what OP’s daughter was watching that wasn’t ‘scary enough’ but going straight to The Descent was a terrible idea.

I feel like Trump would have his blood scrubbed nightly to prevent just that kind of thing.

I don’t love that this happens, but because I was in those trenches for many years I like to make my holiday shopping trips as pleasant as possible for the retail workers. I’ll try to take up as much time with them as I can just shooting the shit and helping them relax a little or giving them knowing looks whenever some asshole engages them.

It’s like on-the-job therapy.

It was Dusty. Dusty finally gave up the ghost a few months ago and we haven’t been able to replace him yet.

For real, what happened with that whole family of creators? I haven’t watched any of them in over 10 years.

It’s a little hard to find. Never released on Blu Ray and only available to purchase in 1080p and also not streaming anywhere (that I’m aware of). Might also be hard to find on the high seas as a result. But good luck to you!

I’m curious which movies you would say did it better. I’m always up for a good watch (if I haven’t already seen it).

I maintain that Live Free or Die Hard is a much better movie when you watch the uncensored version. Yeah, a lot of the shit McClane goes through is not something any regular Joe would survive but the movie at least tries to make it survivable. And the uncensored version adds in a lot of the blood that should’ve been present with all of that bullshit in the first place.

I kind of love Starkiller’s story, including the fact that his actions were so instrumental to forming the Rebel Alliance that they took his family crest as their sigil. That’s badass.
