Ah, the state owning historical artifacts, I forgot about that flavor of socialism! I got it mixed up with state-sponsored museums of colonialist empires which are totally different I forgot. My bad!

A strange form of socialism where property is owned by a hierarchical institution, but cool:)

imo centrists shouldn’t be shocked that the people literally working and laboring to go against censorship (all of the human hours gone into specs, implementations, community building etc etc) because of their radical views fosters those with similar views. Both left and right mind you. Member voat? How many of them you think are on those popular right wing fediverse networks I won’t name? I’m one of those extreme leftists (I just go by anarchist or socialist), but I remember when Reddit was banning right wing subreddits and was met with cheers by liberals.

Like it or not, far left and right are here in the fediverse and won’t leave because they are the ones who it’s built by and for, for better or worse. If we want the fediverse to succeed, it needs quality moderation/safety/anti-spam tools and protocols so people can filter out the stuff they deem uninterested in or something somehow equivalent.

This is the Wild West era right now. If the fediverse can survive for a decade, it might go the way of Blender and Godot, with a publicly accountable non profit foundation and all etc. Or it might go the way of gopher.

It’s best not to humanize corporations, especially as the arbiters of morality and ethics. It’s simply a calculated risk on Apples part. I don’t mean to be a negative Nancy and all “nothing good happens” it’s just we can’t keep letting corporations get away with being brands you can “trust” when we have all the evidence necessary to assume they are not trustworthy, just profit-seeking.

I did not have as many times as I wanted. I had one chance per question, no re takes. What’s fucking hilarious is my reference was more important than the fucking screener. I got fired by a company for budget concerns supposedly but not on bad terms and this company contracts with them and apparently the hiring manager called my former engineering manager and I got a good word so to the top I went. Fucking hate the stain of AI.

I’d put that as a feature request honestly, they’ll probably add that in at some point

I’m just doing a bit of research (I’m also not the guy you were replying to :p), but I found the developer is really just one person seemingly (the only registered person I could find for the company representing Revolt [based in the UK]) and that is Pawel Makles. He’s also listed as the data controller of all of your data https://revolt.chat/legal/privacy

My concern at first glance is this guy is only 21 years old (born 2003). I don’t think the dev seems too shady from this quick look, but being only 21 with a bunch of private data doesn’t seem too stable imo.

I start something, see how boring, hard or daunting it is or just make one tiny mistake, and then immediately move on to another thing. Rinse repeat until I fall asleep.
