Honestly, these comments say more about you than they do about me.

I’m Australian. I don’t have any connection to Germany, I’ve never even been to Europe. Yet you’re making assumptions about me because I joined a German server? Pot kettle black mate.

It’s quite simply not possible for me to care any less about whether or not you think I’m bigoted.

Just because I’m bigoted does not mean that China does not have an established culture of manufacturing cheap trash that poor people want to buy.

Sure, I’m bigoted because every cheap thing I’ve ever purchased was of a lower quality than every expensive thing. Do you really believe that everyone who buys a car manufactured in Japan for twice the price of a car manufactured in China is a victim of marketing, and you’re the only one who really understands the reality? That’s arrogance.

Ooh boy. Lets look at resale values of Chinese vehicles vs… pretty much anywhere.

On build quality alone, I just wouldn’t buy anything manufactured in the US or China, full stop.

I hate Tesla as much as the next guy but this sounds very odd.

It’s hard to believe that it’s possible to sell a car in 2024 that doesn’t apply the brakes when you press your foot on the brakes.

I think this is kind of reductive.

I mean it’s a nice narrative and sounds like what we want to hear but is it really true? Trump has had his metaphoric pants pulled down a bunch of times but he has more influence than ever.

I don’t think there’s any simple 3 sentence explanation. Trump is a symptom of a complex array of interconnected problems.
