I hate that companies use the option of paying temp foreign workers low wages instead of gov’ts raising minimum wages across the board. It all just seems so damn dystopian. :(

Not totally a CMHC issue here. People/businesses buying up housing as investments is the bigger problem and it should be clamped down on … ie: first 2 properties = basic taxes, increased by 2% for every additional property owned (3rd is basic + 2%, 4th is basic + 4%, etc).

Makes you wonder if Wall St pays attention to anything outside of its hallowed halls?

I wish I could say that Singh’s statement would force the feds and BoC to do something, but I don’t think it will. Heaven forbid corporate profits should be taxed at rates far higher than they are. 🙄
