Yeah, I can’t step out my front door without being murdered, it’s just murder and death all day long. I must’ve been killed at least a dozen times today.

There’s often a section in the build guide for hardcore. For example, I’m following the shadow minion necro guide and it has a section for hardcore adjustments. There’s also a link in that section for a general hardcore guide.

Also, good luck! I think I would be on about my 15th character by now if I’d gone hardcore.

Honestly, the game might not be for you. I had a similar experience with it. I kept thinking it would change up a gear at some point but it never does.

Floating around in that ship and reading bits of text is basically all you do.

I’ll probably start with wizard, the haedrigs gift set is firebirds which is super powerful. Once I’m up and running with that I’ll start a witch doctor so I can try out the crazy chicken build… I’m looking forward to that!

Ppl think 2 is the worst? Huh, I wasn’t aware of that.

Thing is, I don’t really remember much about 3. I played the first one through twice and the second one I played through 3 times and all the dlc. By the time I got around to the third game I think I’d just kinda had enough of tomb raider and rushed through it and never replayed it.

I think I might actually go back and play the third instalment again now that it’s been a while since I last played it.

For me it’s always ‘bus-in-ess’

I played the trilogy a couple of years ago. I’m a big fan of the original games and was mostly happy with the reboot.

For me the second instalment was the best of the reboot (rise of the tomb raider). The stealth is improved making it actually viable to clear whole areas using just stealth. I also loved the environments of the second one.

Overall I really enjoyed the 3 games but the balance between combat and puzzle solving was too far towards combat to make them feel truly like tomb raider games. The puzzle solving should have been a bit harder as well to truly make them feel like tomb raider games.

There’s some great quotes in this article, my favourite was:

‘George Butlin, director at the UK Loose Leaf Tea Company, echoes that sentiment and professes a “profound aversion to this kind of innovation”.’

I can just imagine him saying ‘profound aversion’ whilst holding a China tea cup with his pinky sticking out.
