Only read the title (as is tradition) but this is how I feel too. Main reason is that the device is not locked down at all. Having high end hardware like PS5 only for it to be so locked down that there is no way to use it as a Jellyfin client (for example) feels like ass. With no lock down, Steam as a platform adds value to the Deck with their work on proton and dxvk etc. rather than just hold a gun to your head and demand money. I don’t even play games through it most of the time. I rather use Lutris because I can wrap my head around it easier. But being able to do it on a console you paid money for feels nice.

I can’t help but see them as losers. Having all this immense wealth influence only to be a charlatan peddling internet slop and barely edible garbage that you call FEASTABLES to neglected children. If they weren’t so harmful I would laugh at them all day.

Wonder if any porkies would be willing to jump into a submersible deathtrap to see it up close.

Why are you assuming that you need photos of specifically prisoners to train the model? They could source images from anywhere as long the subjects look ethnically similar.

Besides, them using AI generated images is not something that is up for debate for me. I viewed the database myself and saw images with weird anatomies that were most likely artefacts of the generation process gone wrong.

It said something else before the edit but it’s all good now.

Generating faces like the ones used in that “database” has been possible well before the arrival of dall-e and stable diffusion. There were websites like thispersondoesnotexist.com which used something called stylegan to generate random faces in 2019.
