It lost that status a long time ago. We keep the veneer of it intact, though.
My 14 year old account was permabanned for making a joke about someone Luigi Mangione-ing Trump. I made another account and they banned that one too. Sounds like the elites are getting a little nervous. Reddit had been getting shittier for a while anyway, excited to see what Lemmy does!
