Just trying to help increase interaction on lemmy :)

no, this is exactly what I wanted to discuss. I know the NCR is a full on nation, like the USA of old, but I wanted to discuss the logistics of their manufacturjng processes. would they have mines and quarries for raw metals? Likely not, as there’s enough already extracted for salvage. this post is mostly for speculation. I fully believe that the ncr manufactures the fatigues from scratch, but with what material? surely not cotton given their water problems. I also just can’t quite decide what their breastplates are shielded with. I wanted for this to be a space where people could speculate on the theoretical industries and manufacturing processes of the NCR, not a refusal to see that they exist.

I for one am a Pittsburgh truther, and believe that the NCR has exported all their industry to Ashur. /j

miscommunication; by ‘more human’ I mean should they behave less like generic bad guys to shoot, and more like people, to represent their tragedy

Hell, Fallout 4’s interpretation could have been so much more tragic if, since they’re randomly dropped into the Commonwealth by the Institute, what if they didn’t naturally join up in gangs, but will naturally seek out their homes with what little memory (or muscle memory) they have, which would inevitably result in them being run off in most cases and forced into their brutish lifestyles as depicted in game?

It feels like such a missed oppurtunity

Pictured: Jonah Lobe’s horrifying early super mutant model.

I personally think super mutants could be more tragic if you could see more into their human side.

I’m just not familiar with american ecology. I wonder if this means NCR textiles have much poorer threadcounts, maybe they have early industrialisation-style looms?

Maybe I’ve just been skimming over things, but doesn’t the sub only really provide guides for sizing? Personally, I’m asking for advice on material, and being able to appraise pieces that will have a longer lifecycle, y’know, sustainability and cost effectiveness and all :)

also no, you will not be forgiven

Oh, no, I can access it, it’s just that it seems to include a map of auctions, but due to not being in the US, visiting them isn’t really an option.

I generally try to stay pretty terse in regards to information, but I think that leaving it general could be quite helpful, as it would invite a larger diversity of reccomendations that people in future could benefit from.
