I do have a car, but I have been considering buying a hand bell so that I can open the window and stick my hand out of the window to ring the bell if I need to.
I had a 2005 Camry which broke down last year, so I replaced it with a 2015 Mazda 5. The towing section of the manual for the Camry said something along the lines of “Well, this car is not really intended for towing, but if you must use it for that, here’s what you have to do…”. For the Mazda, the manual just says that it is not recommended to use the car for towing at all.
I guess anything that will make Lemmy a viable alternative to Reddit is welcome.
I live in a car-dependent area, but luckily, there is a park about 20 minutes’ bike ride from my house along decently safe routes that’s right on the shore of the local lake. The downside is that, since you have to cycle downhill to get there, you have to cycle uphill to get back home. Part of the route to get to this park also goes through a small industrial area, with a bunch of truck entrances and an oil refinery.
I seem to recall seeing a Hummer H2 recently and being astounded that it looked not only “normal”, but even a bit on the small side.
I haven’t seen one of those $5 bills for a very long time.
