Hopefully their plan has backfired. Early voting in Ohio has far exceeded expectations for this special election. I believe they were hoping it would be low turn out based on previous August elections. So far it appears they vastly underestimated how many people were paying attention. If youāre in Ohio and havenāt voted yet get to it!

As a Blue Jackets fan I hate this.
Sadly i checked in on the Apollo sub and thereās a lot of hate on there for Lemmy. Not sure if people fully understand it or they are just fighting the inevitable change that is coming lol. But it def. reminds me of the digg meltdown and how people were hellbent that reddit sucked and wouldnāt last and was too difficult to useā¦ lol change is hard sometimes but itās life.
The complaints are all over the place so likely coming from people that either A.) havenāt actually used Lemmy. B.) Used it for .5 seconds got confused and gave up. C.) Are just afraid of change and just wanna stick their heads in the sandā¦
But most of them center around how difficult lemmy is to use and how ācommunities are way too overbearing with the rules.ā , that it uses the new.reddit UI, and that itās run by a bunch of ātankiesā
Because Reddit has fully turned to the dark side lol. Itās been trending downhill for a while now but with the recent API shenanigans it became very clear it wasnāt going to improve. So here I am lol. Wouldnāt be the first time Iāve had to find an alt (RIP Digg).
