Is joining a union an individual action or a social circumstance?

I guess my point is that environment (social circumstance) and individual behavior is a gradient. Drawing a clear line between the two so that “individual behavior” is the largest share might actually be unhealthy framing as it takes out of focus how an individual might improve their circumstances.

Individual behavior basically includes what kind of job you’re working, because that definitely impacts much of those other behaviors like sleep and quality of food.

Jesus did not get along with the wealthy or their politicians.

Providing context is a display of liberal bias.

Let’s be real, they’re not axing it because of diversity, but rather the two words that follow (Equity and Inclusion) are an anathema to share holder value.

Careful, people might start thinking you can teach Democrats to do better by making them loose.

You can’t win the medium that is owned by the opposition. Bottom line is they will enforce their rules (and make new ones) against any successful leftist strategy on the platform. And conveniently ignores those same rules in regards to the right.

It’s not just money they accumulate, but the capacity for violence. In the past when money wasn’t enough to get what they want, they sponsor a coup or a harassment campaign or assassination. If they have a monopoly on (state) violence then they can just give their workers company scrip in place of money to spend at the company stores for essentials. They’ve done it in the past and this time around it might rhyme with crypto. As long as their police have their needs taken care of and get some extra perks, they will gladly bust skills to break those pesky union upstarts.

Seems I guessed that right from the headline. There’s plenty to shit on, like their soldiers being sent to the Ukrainian meat grinder. But when you see “country bans cheap food” or “country requires kim jong haircuts for everyone”, don’t be gullible.
