U: Pronounced as /ju/ (like “you”)

I: Pronounced as /aɪ/ (like “eye”), with a long “i” sound

In contrast, true acronyms like “NASA” form a pronounceable word naturally without requiring any modifications, making “Gooey” a grammatically improper pronunciation of “GUI.”
