I loved “thefakesoundofprogress”. It was different than conventional nu-metal bands in that it leaned more towards post-hardcore/emo.

Fortunately they kind of disappeared for a bit and resurfaced sounding like the shitty version of OneD. I didn’t have to feel guilty listening to a band fronted by Peter Scully Jr.

I tend to mythologize bands I like, particularly as a teenager during those points. I’d even make websites for them if they’re a little underrated and I liked them enough. Had Lostprophets continued to make great albums (reminiscent of their debut), I probably would have gone that route.
