It’s true that there are issues preventing GrapheneOS from rubbing on FairPhones, but you’re not forced to use the standard OS: you can install other ROMs on FairPhone like LineageOS, CalyxOS, iodéOS, /e/

They’re actively working with Murena to make sure /e/ works well, and you can even buy Fairphones with /e/ out of the box.
