IDK despite Chinese authoritarianism they attempt to improve the quality of life for the population. For example healthcare was very poor for a nation as wealthy as China at the turn of this century. The party spent time and money to increase the availability of care and the quality of the average citizen’s care has gotten much better in the last 10-15 years.

You aren’t going to fool me, I have seen first-hand what happens when the government installs fire hydrants to make a village safe, then when there is a fire, the firefighters can’t get water out of it because it isn’t hooked up to anything. Or when the pollution is so thick it is poisoning the local vegetation, so there are trucks driving around spray painting the dead trees green. Or people being force-fed Xi’s idiot ramblings everywhere possible from a young age. China is great, their business practices are corrupt and their commgovernment is evil. Sorry.
