Months before last night’s fatal aircraft collision, lawmakers dismissed safety warnings and approved an airline-backed measure that increased flight traffic at Washington, DC’s already overstressed airport — the site of the disaster.

So they expanded traffic to make it slightly more convenient for lawmakers to fly directly to their home states and didn’t have enough air traffic controllers to accommodate the expansion.

How much you wanna bet we hear it was DEI initiatives that kept them from hiring enough qualified air traffic controllers? Since we’re already blaming DEI anyway.

At an airport already known for dangerously crowded airspace and understaffed ATC. When asked, not a single pilot was surprised that a collision happened there. It was “the first place” they expected such a thing to happen.
