This happens in Germany.

Work culture doesnโ€™t fit my personality: I donโ€™t talk much, I keep to myself, I simply want to do my job and go home, I separate my personal life from work, my colleagues are full fledged gossips, ignore the duties that need to be done and then expect me to help them when they are late. I donโ€™t have patience for that crap anymore.

Due to internal regulations, I have to stay on the unit for 4 weeks after sending my notice. Answering honestly the question of why Iโ€™m quitting would ensure that they yell at me and bully me, and I donโ€™t want to experience that again. Even saying โ€˜itโ€™s none of your businessโ€™ ensures that they feel insulted and start yelling. I have decided I donโ€™t have patience for people like that anymore.

So, what do I say?

I asked llama2.ai and this is what it said.

The suggestions soundโ€ฆ generic. I guess thatโ€™s the point.

  1. Keep it simple: โ€ข โ€œIโ€™ve decided itโ€™s time for me to move on to new opportunities. Iโ€™m excited about what the future holds.โ€ โ€ข โ€œIโ€™m leaving for personal reasons, but Iโ€™m grateful for the experience Iโ€™ve gained here.โ€
  2. Emphasize positivity: โ€ข โ€œIโ€™ve learned so much during my time here, and Iโ€™m grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a great team.โ€ โ€ข โ€œIโ€™ve really enjoyed my time at this company, and Iโ€™m going to miss working with you all.โ€
  3. Offer support during the transition: โ€ข โ€œI want to make sure that everything runs smoothly during the transition. Is there anything specific youโ€™d like me to focus on in my remaining time here?โ€ โ€ข โ€œIโ€™m happy to help with training or knowledge transfer in any way I can. Just let me know what you need.โ€

ChatGPT gave me:

โ€œI have decided to move on to pursue different opportunities. Thank you for your support and cooperation during my time here.โ€

Nice! I asked llama2 to provide two examples of each.
