That’s a tough one. Doesn’t the fact that the kid was born here make him a citizen?

Only if one of the parents is a citizen. In this case, both parents are on the work visas, so no.

This is brutal. Law abiding families that come here for a better way of life get fucked over when it might cost the tax payer a few bucks. Maybe we should stop all the pork barrelling to pay for it

Huh I didn’t know that. The kids born here should be enough. I can see the government’s side it’s a big hit to the taxpayers pocket. It’s a shame we don’t have a bunch of robber barren thieves who rape the countries natural resources for cheap to turn profits in the billions who we could tax a bit better to cover it.
