TL;DR

  • The Moto Tag is now on sale directly through Motorola.
  • Individual units will run you $29, while a four-pack is $99.
  • The new Moto Tag is backward compatible with Air Tag accessories and even supports UWB.

the Moto Tag’s design makes it fully compatible with the majority of Air Tag accessories.

Ugh that means you’re forced to buy a keychain for your keys finder as they didn’t want to include a hole “because it doesn’t fit the design language”

OEMs always copying the worst part of Apple products

Have you read the posts and technical information about the new network? It’s about as anonymous as you’re going to get without a network of only like a dozen people.

Should be private if it works the way they say it does.

Doesn’t it depend entirely on FMD network? If so, then it shouldn’t work better or worse than the other options since they all use the same restricted Google network

It can use UWB, that makes it better.

moto tag boasts a one-year battery life4 with everyday use. Easy to replace batteries sold separately.

That’s Motorola official https://www.motorola.com/us/moto-tag/p?skuId=1167

My tiles all are replaceable batteries… It’s model specific but available.

That said I’m getting these as soon as availability is better and hopefully uwb turns on.
