common for whites to view “befriending” or marrying token nonwhite people as an act of colonial/imperial domination while simultaneously trying to cynically use their “loved one” as a shield
obviously the most toxic of dynamics are at play within such relationships
I want to learn more about this dynamic from an academic point of view. This has to have a formal name, I’ve experienced it myself (though I have never had the gall to tell those people that I see through them) so many times.
I have family like his wife. One of them is my own cousin who married this woman that makes illegals immigrant jokes to his face when he’s a brown Guatemalan. But hey, at least he got the blond girl he always wanted!

ugh, sometimes with random fucking patches of color 😑 love being covered in blotches if I’m a little too warm or feeling strong emotion, and the absolute best is getting the bright red muzzle when I cry
