Remember when he tried like 4 times to weasel out of actually buying it because his mouth was writing checks his ass didn’t want to cash?

Then Twitter knocked Elon straight the fuck out by forcing him to buy the company.

Thank god there are still people stupid enough to act before they think. Stupid people are necessary to fight power. I’m proud to be one of them, though I know it will continue to get me in trouble.

I’ve had it blocked for months now and it’s amusing realizing how many “news” articles are just lists of exactly that.

I deleted the app when he switched to X but I was addicted to the content so I kept going via browser.

The content itself has weaned me off. The promoted right wingers throw off the algorithm and I’m just not addicted anymore.

all social medias are well aware of how addictive they are, and they exploit that fact to the absolute best of their ability. that i replaced my reddit addiction with lemmy addiction is irrelevant–i still spend unhealthy amounts of time on it.

i’m just thankful i never took root in any of the other instatwitsnaptok platforms. i was on facebook for a long time, but finally deleted it. you realize how liberating it is to be done with it, once you’re out of the habit of constantly checking it every few minutes

I never signed up. I never saw the point of it. Still don’t, other than ego stroking and brain dumping.

I he also destroyed free speech on the platform, though. The dude has worms in his brain.

When conservatives talk about free speech what they really mean is freedom for them to do and say whatever they want without consequence.

What he wants is the right to be a racist sexist misogynistic prick and then everyone not call him out on it. He wants it so badly he spent $44 billion dollars in order to to be able to do that.

Every time I hear Elon gets another stupid, unnecessary feature introduced, I wonder why this isn’t the thing that’s gonna finally kill off Twitter.
