The idea that a third party isn’t a real choice under FPTP is a tactic used by the ruling duopoly to keep people feeling powerless. If we dismiss third-party candidates, we’re only allowing the same two parties to hold a monopoly on political power.

Real choice comes from breaking free of this system and standing up for the alternatives that truly represent us.

Third parties need to grow from the bottom up, not from the top down. Third parties should run heavily in local and state elections. Until they hold a couple of seats, its insane to pretend running for president is at all a viable option. It’s like a small town with no stadium questioning why they weren’t picked to host the super bowl.
