I use the Hario size 02 filters with my v60 which I really like, but the only reliable and affordable source I’ve been able to find is from amazon.com. Does anyone have another source I can buy these from? I try to buy as little as possible from amazon, but these are something I still have to regularly buy from there.
I’m also open to alternative suggestions for filters if someone knows something else that works as well or better.
Same here avoiding Amazon… I recently bought some on eBay and got drop shipped from Amazon, usually I’m good at catching drop shippers before ordering but this time I wasn’t careful enough. Very frustrating.
My strategy has been to look around for specialty roasters that also sell v60 filters so I can get them as part of a coffee mailorder. I started keeping a list of the ones I discover and was considering trying to put it out into the wild, not sure what the best way of doing that may be. I prefer to buy local but do not prefer my only local roaster that carries v60 filters, they do their coffee a bit too “second wave” for my liking (everything pretty dark and lacking character, even stuff they call light and single origin).
Hario or their US distributor have a storefront, thanks to which I just found out that they sell cute slash disturbing bird-shaped filters??!? wtf

And yes, lots of independent roasters carry filters. Rogue Wave in Canada has a really good filter selection including Cafec ones.
if you’re in the usa, it looks like both seattlecoffeegear.com and wholelattelove.com carry them. i definitely try to use them over amazon
Thanks a lot! The price on wholelattelove.com is really good, and free shipping if I buy in bulk which I usually do anyway.
I buy a cheapo pack of 400 regular rounds and fold them twice.
