Honestly, it’s pot calling kettle. Shatner is a huge dick, most of the people that worked with him have a “Shatner” story to tell. It’s karma when you have a moment and get it ruined by an asshole, just as you have ruined countless others.
I get it, it is a unique, once in a lifetime experience. But so is for a fan to meet him. So is a teenage actor meeting their idol after taking weeks to work up the courage. And he shat’nered all of those without any remorse.
There are a few moments that stick in my memory whether I like it or not and this one was up there with Jan 6. for me. Fucking billionaire assholes.
Na, fuck Shatner for soooooo many reasons, but also fuck listening to the hyper privileged and wealthy musing about how precious life and our planet are when them and their greed and their egos are the ones destroying them for everyone else in the first place.
Looking through some of these comments and their downvotes and thinking: some need to go back to the “punk” origin of solarpunk, js.
It’s so hypocritical - he went up with JEFF BEZOS… Someone who has enough money to lobby for all sorts of environmental protections and standards.
So Shathead, why don’t you literally turn to the guy next to you and try to get the ball rolling there??? He is one of the richest people on the planet - maybe if you genuinely believed what you wrote… you’d like, ask him for help???
Maybe sitting next to one of the largest contributors to global warming is part of what colored the above statement? Good luck getting a capitalist to start lobbying against their own self interests.
