A stowaway managed to hide on a Delta transatlantic flight to Paris, and wasn’t detected until close to arrival. Here’s what happened.

Bottom line

Several days ago, a woman managed to board a Delta Boeing 767 from New York to Paris without a ticket. The crew eventually became suspicious, when they noticed her repeatedly moving between lavatories.

The Russian national with a US Green Card requested asylum upon landing in Paris, and it wasn’t her first time making such a request. She was ultimately denied, and a few days later, was put on a Delta flight back to the United States.

Unfortunately that wasn’t so straightforward, since she had an outburst on the return flight, and refused to cooperate with the crew. As a result, she was removed from the flight, and remains in French custody.

She clearly does not want to be in the US, so let’s waste even more time and resources forcing her to go back to the place she is running away from, because that makes sense

Immigration hacks they don’t want you to know. “I don’t want to be here”

I mean yeah kinda, that should warrant at least some investigation as to why the person wants to not be there anymore. It’s rarely as simple or innocent as the person just wanting a cheap vacation abroad.

She’s running away from something that happened in Russia, sees how close the US government has gotten with Russia, freaks out, and tries to go to France, where she, for some reason feels like she’ll be safe. I’m not sure it’s that strange. She’s apparently scared for her life.
